Its design draws inspiration from the asymmetrical case of the fourth-generation Speedmaster that journeyed to the moon.
The arched minute hand and central chronograph seconds hand faithfully replicate the iconic hand style of the Speedmaster “Moonwatch.”
It retains the original 42mm case diameter and features a stepped dial with a sunray finish.
The tachymeter scale on the ceramic bezel is crafted using OMEGA Ceragold™ technology and incorporates the “Dot Over Ninety” (DON) detail found on early Speedmaster models. The bezel is polished and features a dual-bevel design, engraved with the inscriptions “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON” and “CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER.” Through the flat sapphire crystal caseback, one can admire the exquisite mechanics of the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861.
